The purpose of our project is to better understand how the volume of water in lakes, called lake water storage, is changing over time.
In September, the LOCSS team travelled west to install lake gauges and begin studying lakes in the state of Washington.
We first learned about the Wisconsin Citizen Lake Monitoring Network as we were researching citizen science lake monitoring programs before applying for funding for the LOCSS program.
